Success Stories
Every rescue has a story. These are the cats who found safety, healing, and the loving homes they deserve.
Daddy's Journey
Daddy's story began as part of a community cat colony in West Tennessee. During a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) project, he was neutered and returned to the area he called home. Unlike some community cats, however, Daddy like being pet by the people that fed the colony on a regular basis.
This is beautiful "Daddy" cat ❤️ He was TNR'd about 3 years ago, but has always let me pet him and hated being a homeless baby. I brought him into my home last summer after I found him skin and bones with an abscess. Tomorrow he goes to The Catio Cat Lounge 😻 to find his furever home.
For several years he continued to survive outside, relying on the kindness of caregivers while facing the daily challenges of life on his own. Then one summer, Joanne found him severely underweight and suffering from an abscess. Realizing he needed more than routine care, she brought him into foster care to recover.
With veterinary treatment, nutritious food, a safe place to rest, and months of patience, Daddy began to thrive. As he regained his health, it became increasingly clear that he was not meant to spend the rest of his life as a community cat. He enjoyed people, sought out affection, and quickly adapted to the comforts of indoor living.
Once healthy and ready for adoption, Daddy was transferred to our trusted adoption partner, The Catio Cat Lounge , where he had the opportunity to meet potential adopters in a welcoming environment.
It wasn't long before Daddy found exactly what he had been waiting for: a loving family and a place to call home. Today, years after his rescue, his family still shares updates about the joy and companionship he brings to their lives.
My parents adopted Daddy from The Catio that you rescued a year or two ago. He is SO precious, and we all absolutely love him. We can't thank you enough for the hard work you do taking care of these sweet babies.
My sweet boy Daddy cat.
He was a feral boy 3 1/2 years ago!
Now he's spoiled and loved.
Daddy's journey is a reminder that every cat is different. While many community cats are happiest remaining outdoors after TNR, some show signs that they want something more. Daddy was one of those cats, and because he was given a chance, he found the forever home he deserved.
